Coach Jon Jones is embarking on his second season at Bradwell Institute, where he brings a wealth of coaching experience and a passion for defensive play. Originally from the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, Coach Jones made the move to Hinesville to join the Institute as the Defensive Ends Coach.

Before landing at Bradwell, Coach Jones honed his coaching skills at Leo Catholic High School and Fenger Academy, where he made a significant impact as the defensive line coach. Growing up in the heart of Chicago, Coach Jones developed a deep love for sports, excelling in football, basketball, baseball, and even golf during his high school years at William J. Bogan Computer Technical High School on the southside of Chicago.

His athletic prowess earned him opportunities at the collegiate level, starting with a recruitment to play defensive tackle at Bakersfield College in California. After distinguishing himself as a standout defender and earning an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts, Coach Jones secured a full scholarship to play Division 1 football at Western Michigan University, where he excelled as a first-string defensive tackle. He graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with an impressive 3.6 GPA, and later pursued his passion for psychology by obtaining a Master's degree.

Even beyond his academic and athletic achievements, Coach Jones continued to pursue his love for football, playing professionally for the Peoria Rough Ryders in the arena indoor football league for two seasons.

Off the field, Coach Jones finds fulfillment in his role as a father to four wonderful children: Jeramiah, Nevaeh, Kameron, and Jrue. With his rich background in coaching, academic excellence, and commitment to family, Coach Jones brings a well-rounded perspective to the Bradwell Institute community.
